Complete custom kitchen in South Royalton, VT.

This project has been incredibly rewarding to complete. I began coordinating with the customer well ahead of the home being constructed. I was able to balance the desire for a beautiful, user friendly design incorporating the features the owners wanted with their budget. The traditional style of the shaker panel doors and drawers is complimented nicely by the bead-board accents on the ends of the cabinets. The appliance panels also add to the completeness of the project.

The customer also chose Meganite Acrylic Solid Surface for the countertops. I fabricated most of the countertops in my shop to minimize mess and time on site. The customer chose "Shangrila Boulder". The soft colors of the Meganite add to the beauty of the room. The Island is a useful addition to the work space and the incorporation of a maple Butch block top gives the kitchen a tranquil blend of work surfaces. The appliance garage under the microwave oven is an attractive way to keep all those countertop appliances stored while not in use. The door of the garage pulls out then slides back giving full access to the counter space and appliances inside.

This kitchen was truly a joy to design and construct. There were many challenges and many creative solutions. I am pleased to include this project in my portfolio of work.

The owners had this to say at the completion of the project:

"Working with Phil was fabulous! Not only was he the only contractor to stay within budget, he was a joy to work with, both professionally and artistically. We couldn’t be happier with the work that he did for us."
